Welcome to my OB/GYN practice!
It is never easy to change doctors, especially your OB/GYN. Dr Belton and I have spent a lot of time and effort in trying to make this transition for you as easy as possible. I know that many of you have been patients of his for a long time, with strong attachments and that you are sad that he is closing his practice.
In taking over his practice, I have made several commitments to Dr. Belton. The first, of course, is to provide you with the same compassionate state-of-the-art medical care that you have enjoyed while he has been your physician. Like Dr. Belton, I have been in practice in the South Bay for 20 years, but in contrast, I have no imminent plans to close my practice or retire. You can count on me working hard in the career that I love for at least another 15 years!
I am one of nine physicians at Los Olivos Women’s Medical Group. While we share office space and maintain a close partnership with each other, my patients identify with me and my staff and we provide almost all of their care. How does this work?
In obstetrics, virtually all of your prenatal care will be with me. At the time of your delivery, I am almost always available and will attend your delivery, even when I am not “on call” unless of course, I am out of town. For gynecological visits, including emergencies, I am similarly available, though I do share night & weekend call with my partners.
I am a strong believer that physicians should make themselves and their staff easily accessible to their patients. This may seem old-fashioned, but my practice is unique in that regard. You will have our telephone numbers and email addresses at your disposal. You will be able to easily communicate with a live person in my practice and we will always offer you a timely answer or appointment when needed. I will want to hear from you directly if we do not live up to this commitment.
